Sculpture 21st: Shirin Neshat

17 May until 6 October 2024

With the presentation of the latest work "The Fury" (2022) by Iranian artist Shirin Neshat, the Lehmbruck Museum is showing an expansive video installation on two monumental LED screens in the Glass Hall. Neshat is one of the world's most important female artists and her works are poetically dedicated to the lives and fates of women who rebel against violence and oppression.

Two big screens in the museum hall show Shrin Neshat´s video installation "The Fury".

The video "The Fury" traces the emotional journey of a young Iranian woman who now lives freely in the USA, but is still traumatized by her memories of captivity. The two screens each show a perspective of the same story.

The exhibition is supported by the Stiftung Kunst, Kultur und Soziales der Sparda-Bank West.
