100 Years of Duisburger Künstlerbund

Let the works of the Duisburger Künstlerbund association surprise us! Painters, sculptors and photographers formed the association in 1923 to cope with social and economic crises. Their works and activities have enriched the cultural life of our city ever since. The Lehmbruck Museum has supported this initiative from the start by exhibitions and, above all, acquisitions. This anniversary exhibition will be the first to present selected works by artists of the Künstlerbund – a community that practices a way of life based on solidarity and cooperation and thus makes an indispensable contribution to the creative milieu of the post-industrial city of Duisburg.
