The Lehmbruck archives
The Lehmbruck Museum archive contains an extensive collection of information, papers and documents on the life and work of Wilhelm Lehmbruck and catalogues these for research purposes.
The plans to set up a Lehmbruck Archive go back to the very early days of what is now the Lehmbruck Museum. The task has been ongoing since the acquisition of the Lehmbruck estate in 2008. In the long run, the idea is to establish the Lehmbruck Museum as the centre of competence for the work of the internationally most reknown German sculptor of the first half of the 20th century.
